Well, it appears that winter has officially arrived on the Outer Banks. The holiday crowds have headed home, we had our first snow day today, and many of the restaurants have signs up saying, “See You In March”. While we all love the warm weather, there is something wonderful about the quiet winter months…. You can walk the beaches and not see a single person, 5 of the 10 people in the grocery store are people you consider a friend, and you don’t have to wait for a table at your favorite restaurants.
Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar and Blue Moon Beach Grill stay open daily all year for lunch and dinner! There are many reasons why we don’t close, but here are the Top 6 in 2016:
1. Locals are important too. We believe we exist because of the great local population. We know that most locals work hard during the summer season and we enjoy providing them with great meals and some fun times in the “down time”. If we get the chance to see you in the summer months, it is generally a wave from across a busy restaurant. In the off-season, we get to actually slow down and enjoy catching up with you and your family!
5. Holidays. While we close on major holidays so our employees can enjoy their own families, we are open around those special days. We want to be a meeting and gathering place for the locals to bring their guests and their families when visiting.
6. Special Event Headquarters. Our space at Blue Water is perfect for those winter business meetings, training sessions, reunions and birthdays. Special events happen in the winter time too and we have you covered!
The Blue philosophy supports our local neighbors, our local employees, and our local community. We look forward to seeing you this winter! Cheers & Bon Appetit~
