We have finally arrived at Phase 2 of the reopening process of Covid-19. It’s been a long road to get here and we immensely appreciate the support along the way. Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar and Mimi’s Tiki Hut will reopen at 50% capacity on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 5 PM. The health and safety of our staff and customers is our number one priority. We have gone to great lengths to implement safety protocols.
First, at Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar you now have several dining options: take-out, Mimi’s Tiki Hut and dining in. You can enjoy our food with a take-out order by simply giving us a call at 252.473.1955 and placing your order. There may be limits to the number of take-out orders we can prepare during certain “time windows”. Your patience is requested and appreciated. We are no longer offering delivery service.
Weather permitting, Mimi’s Tiki Hut will also open on Friday at 5 PM. The menu we are offering in our dining room will also be served at the Tiki Hut. The outdoor dining furniture will be properly cleaned after each customer.
Our summer hours will be:
Monday – Thursday: 3 PM – ‘Till
Friday, Saturday & Sunday : Noon – ‘Till
And, as always, you may opt to enjoy the beautiful view and delicious food inside our dining room. Reservations are strongly encouraged. This will eliminate the lines and groups of patrons waiting. It is imperative that you arrive for your reservation on time. Reservations may be secured over the phone or through our website at www.BlueWaterGrillOBX.com
Our daily operations are rigorous. Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar is ServSafe certified. We have always practiced safe food handling, copious hand washing, etc. However, with our current situation, we have initiated additional stringent protocols, which include:
- Each employee is screened before reporting to his/her station.
- Guests are requested to sanitize their hands before entering.
- All tables are 6’, or more, apart.
- Sanitation procedures will include the normal cleansing of all surfaces, single-use menus, condiments removed from table and presented upon request, etc.
This is hard folks, and we ask that you are patient with us. We all are in uncharted waters. You will see that our menu has been simplified, as some items are scarce and problematic. The menu is evolving and will be expanded as business warrants the increase.
Everything we do feels foreign, takes more time and costs more, so please bear with us. Having said this, we honestly believe if we frame this with a positive foundation, we can deliver a truly memorable dining experience. As always, thank you for being here and…cheers and bon appetit!
